Dr. Crout has
been in general dentistry for over 30 years and
for 25 of
these years has been
diagnosing and
treating TMJ sufferers. He has completed the
special courses and training necessary to help
people with TMJ and/or snoring and sleep apnea
symptoms. He teaches other dentists and health
care professionals on TMJ and related issues.
His education
includes a BS in Chemistry from Wofford College,
a DMD from the Medical University of South
Carolina and an MS from the Medical University
of Texas Health Care Science Center in Houston
with a 2-year general dentistry residency. His
post graduate education in orofacial pain
includes extensive head, neck, orofacial pain
and sleep apnea training. Mentors include most
of the top internationally recognized
researchers, educators and clinicians in these
fields.

Dr. Crout’s published papers include,
“The Maxillary Anterior Passive Appliance or
MAPA” published in
the
AGD Journal May/June 1990. Article is the result
of one
of the most effective bite guards used
today to control orofacial pain and headaches.
The appliance was designed by Dr. Crout.
